Good article. There is a hidden mental cost with this. I've been considering a paid newsletter but due to the high commitment and stories about good writers only getting a handful of paid subscribers, I am not sure. I've read of subscribers complaining when writers want to take breaks, and some wanting their money back. It is a treadmill.
