Great article. I've been trying to write with more purpose now and to give value to readers, try to solve some issue or address something they maybe wondering about. I've quite a way to go and it's still a learning curve but I think my focus is on the right track now. People will only want to read what interests THEM, what solves their problems, what they are curious about, what they need help with. It's fine writing about yourself but if it doesn't address issues others are interested in, it is difficult to get that audience writers need if they are serious about making it into a business.
