Great story, written in humanistic way. Lots of a-holes say ignorant things. Some think people choose to use food banks that don't need to. Yeah sure! Who would enjoy queuing and feeling demeaned because they are in poverty! Same as your friend implied homeless don't want to work. Blame the victim is their mentality, because they can't deal with reality. Ignorance isn't bliss.
