Hi Angela, that's a great article and resonates. I wrote a recent article about being born into abandonment and experience of early life loss and trauma. How babies and their mothers was treated so bad, and I wrote about the Mother and Baby Homes in Ireland, where I was born. This is a long to my article, if you wish to read, and others similarly interested. Children born out of wedlock in these institutions (M&B Homes and Magdalene Laundries) were called "Devils Spawn" by nuns who ran the homes. Mothers and their babies were stigmatised and I still feel there is much stigma from the past. From the Get Go, our identities were controlled and it can take a lifetime to feel accepted, whole but where one was born doesn't have to define them. https://medium.com/write-a-catalyst/exploring-and-embracing-wholeness-in-a-world-of-loss-and-abandonment-28b476793db0?sk=f3ef863253c4df5abd89c5dc3a6bf908
