Hi Sheamus, thanks for reading and responding. Interesting view about looking young and feeling older people are more deserving. My, and others experience is far from that. Although I am a 'lot' over 40 (definitely 40+), no-one believes me when I tell them my age, as I don't look it. They think I am much younger. Regarding ageism, it does exist. Once I indicate my age, it's found out, it's like I am automatically cast aside. There are stereotypes that older people will be less efficient, etc. It is a form of social exclusion, as it means those in certain age groups are limited in how they participate in society. There are negative stereotypes of older age.
