Jonathan, I admire your strong stance on the use of profanity. I've read many stories, and even one writer who believes that using profanity is a sign of 'trust'.

Hmm....not sure about that, or where he got that notion.

From what I recall, he stated that if someone doesn't ever use swear words, it means they don't experience the full range of human emotions (hence, aren't human!). Lol.

On the contrary, I would say humans (as opposed to animals) communicate in a civilized fashion.

You're absolutely right, that it begs a question - WHY would someone need to use profanity to make a point? Brilliant way to see language abused, which is what profanity is!
