I came here for reading also, and love to randomly read whoever I like. I can't stand being in a group and reading only certain people or feeling pressured to read others if they read mine. That's fine if it's how it works but no everyone operates like that. I can't stand the tit for tat thing and have been thinking of totally stopping my membership entirely, not just FOM.

However, I don't want to do that, as I have a right to take out membership and actually ENJOY being here, reading who I want and writing whatever I wish. I never really joined for the money, and certainly not making it. My long-term plans are substack and writing ebooks, having my own blog. Also I want to be active on Medium but on my terms, not on the terms of the vanity metrics.
