I fully agree about this Sheamus. That internal drive is totally non-compromisable. Without there there is so much less chance of success. I don't like when my motivation is externally motivated (ie) under threat of social pressure, etc. It has to come from me and that's the only way to stop procrasinating and change habits, start actively planning a goal, work step by step towards it, observe, research, learn, etc. Take time for yourself to figure it own in the own quiet relaxed way without social pressure. It may not be easy, and there will be ups and downs for sure, some days good others not so. But keeping your focus is what matters. If you loose it, it's can be very difficult to get back.

I've felt I've become complacent and in a rut with writing and feel stifled and want to grow and expand. I set myself up on substack months ago but didn't get very far and stopped half way. I dreaded going back to it, as it seemed overwhelming but yesterday I spent a lot of time navigating it, updating my account and forming a plan to start writing on it and gaining subscribers. It's not going to happen overnight and I know how hard it is, even for brilliant writers but it's goal to work towards.
