I have never named anyone when I wrote stories, as I feel it is a form of emotional blackmail and nasty. It's like a threat and unpleasant, in my view. I recently read a story where someone did this and it was horrible. I think it might even go against medium rules to "call someone out" by naming them and saying very bad things, which I read in this particular story.
