I really thought, before, reading the story in full, you did get pregnant at 11 yrs. I can perfectly understand how your mother using eternal damnation put the fear of God in you. In 1960's Ireland, my mother gave birth to me in an abusive Catholic Institution which used fear to control birth mothers never trying to contact their children they were forced to give up for adoption. Every day at 6am these heavily pregnant women had to attend preaching and Mass, being told their baby was the devil's spawn. These institutes are all closed now but the women suffered hell. I wrote a story about it.
