I think the comment from Candy about Parasol Publications is a good idea. The topic is what seems more the issue rather than quality. I think if DSV was more topic specific it might help. I don't think eliminating non-personal stories would be right, as many can be deep and informative. I voted 'no' for this. I submitted a story to DSV earlier but when I read about the issues DSV are having, as outlined here, I didn't know if my non-personal story would be accepted, even though it is on a deep topic, so I cancelled the submission. It seems DSV have some important decisions to make about what stories to accept.
