I think there are different ways to experience and view regret. It could be the difference between superficial and deep thinking. Many people regret things they did that were wrong, etc. That's fine and one way of looking at it. But the deeper meaning of why those things may have happened is still to be explored, understood and acknowledged. It's like saying I'm sorry many times and maybe genuinely so, but the same things keep recurring. So I think regret is a tricky word, as in some way it deceives our mind to believe all we have to say is sorry and feel bad about something, and it's all perfect again. That is far from true. The real reasons, dynamics, etc need to be examined and understood.
