I think there are so many writers wanting their stories published, it has to be very time consuming for editors. After all they have their own life to live and writing to do themselves. I think it would be impossible to critique all writers stories, given the voluntary nature of the work. I was amazed how many stories were published in 1 week in a great publication and I know their editors are helpful, but there is huge demand on their resources and they try to treat everyone fairly.
