Unless there has been a big outside investment in the company, it can be inferred the high salaried jobs are being funded by the little fish - us! It's good to look beyond the surface and drill deep. Medium may have crashed infinitely but their membership structure is alive and well, and will continue to attract readers who want to pay to read stories, even when those writers aren't paid.
