If this was 1st April, I would think it's an April Fool's joke! Getting cents for so many articles makes it seem like we're children and can buy candy or bubble gum. As you say 0.8 cent isn't even enough for gumball in these days. What year is Medium stuck in, it's certainly not 2025, with the cost of living. More like 1950's.
