Interesting thought. Getty's are kind of ambiguous. They jut out into the lake but don't really link to anywhere. Perhaps a boat tied at end of jetty would give meaning to the jetty as a means of exploration and travelling to opposite site. Who knows! What we see in our mind's eye is a product of our thoughts, and each person seems things from a different prospective which evokes meaning and imagery.
