It is a lovely verse from the bible, Dawn. Focussing outward on others can help us from ruminating about our own pain. I see others saying how depressing it has been on Medium with how stats are, but maybe it's time they placed less reliance on ungodly worshipping, like on stats and vanity metrics. Of course I understand that's not easy, particularly when many have become so dependent on income.

Have you felt it healthier since you are no longer a member? It means you won't attract fake readers and vanity metrics. I have thought of stopping membership for that reason, as I am sick of it. I doesn't feel it's writing. Feels like a content factory/mill.
