It's all on the past for me about mobile home. It was a really bad time. The guy shouldn't have been letting it out for long term use (residential), and there was absolutely no paper work. I don't recommend living in a mobile home, holidays in Summer maybe, but no for permanent living. There were horrendous storms, as I moved in Winter and it was right beside Atlantic ocean. The mobile home was seriously shaking and I was terrified. I thought it would topple over. He did take my deposit and never gave it back. It was a complete scam and I had bad gut feeling from the start. Luckily I am no longer in such difficult housing situation and have nice place of my own, although I don't own it. It is really peaceful and the most peaceful place I lived. Your situation will get better but it probably won't be easy for some time. You mum's advice is right. When you get settled make sure to think of the future and put your name on a council list for housing. It's worth it even if you wait years for one. Whatever you do, do something to help your future housing. Everyone should. It's tragic the homeless issues and how badly landlords treat people.
