I've read so much horror stories about universal credit. It takes 5 weeks of waiting to get your claim accepted and the money is horrible. If you ask for an advance you have to pay it back. I read horrible stories of how those who were disabled etc were severely punished and despite warnings to DWP, some people ended up committing suicide, as they couldn't cope with the long delays, bureaucracy, stress, etc. These people were receiving constant threatening communication about their universal claim.
