Lovely story. I think there is a connection with how we treat animals and humans. I've had similar experiences with dogs and love dogs (unless they're dangerous). Other day I passed by people walking dogs, a dogs sniffed me out and seemed to like me. I've noticed how dogs easily come over to me, and I love seeing them.
