Some publications indeed can be too nitpicking and recently encountered one where the editor was pulling me up about every second thing. It was no fun. I felt like I was in school. On one occasion I had added just a full stop, and instead of just taking it out, I was told in a way that made it unclear whether the story would he published or not. As a result of the confusion the story got deleted and I had to do it all again, over a full stop! Was fuming. It was late and spent hours working on it. I just ended up dreading submitting to that pub, as there was always something wrong. There is no need for that!
