Thank you for replying. I think there is moral panic around AI but few rational or sensible common sense discussions. I do not agree with total reliance on AI and no attempt to create one's own ideas or write in one's words and that dependency seems to be a fear of many, that we will start over relying and copy/pasting stuff. However this can also apply to Internet too, so it's not entirely confined to AI. How one uses tools is the important thing not the fact they are using them in some way. When anything is not used correctly it is problematic. So learning the right way to do things and use tools such as AI is needed rather than moral panic at the fact of using it. I think it is annoying to see whole articles churned out where it's very obvious it is AI, but no disclaimer. I think that amounts to a certain disrespect for readers that they won't pick up on that. I recently read an article by Zulie Rane stating that humans are the most effective at detecting AI than software programs, as these can also flag normally used words as AI. I would now be confident enough in detecting an article written by AI, whereas before I wouldn't. I think humans are getting better than programs for identifying it. There is a pattern to it, certain words are used where it is unlikely the author would use, or at least to the extent those words are used. There is often a blandness and monotony to the writing. Like a who bunch of facts and information but no emotional reaction, connecting to human experience etc.
