Thank you for sharing your lovely story. It must have been very hurtful and shocking to suddenly learn at 27 you are adopted. Way too late in my view. I had similar experiences, being told at 13 yrs old in similar way but was while walking out with my mum on a busy street to go shopping. I didn't have a chance to process what I was told and it traumatised me finding out like that. Similar to you, I didn't overhear, bit found documents about my adoption much earlier. It was also denied at least a few times, as I kept asking. My bio situation is very different and laws in this country didn't allow me much information. I never met my bio mum or dad, both are deceased. I meet two half siblings but things didn't go well and have no contact with any of my birth family. I think you have been very mature and understanding about some deeply complex traumatic issues. Again thanks for sharing.
