Thanks Luna, it was a difficult experience. On the one hand I was open to mistakes and edits in the story, and willing to work with the editor of that, but the amount of private notes seemed excessive.

When it came to having to rationalise about the circumstances I was born into, and thousands of others in similar situation - I couldn't handle it. It was too close to home. Also I began to doubt myself and wondered if it was me, was I being irrational, etc. So it was affecting me in a negative way.
