I think being outspoken can attract unwanted visitors, as you say. I try to be honest more than outspoken but I guess they are intertwined. My nature tends to be quite outspoken and I know many don't value that, so it's why I rather not engage with people who lure me into 'personal' communication (such as emailing or messaging), as I often end up speaking my mind. Because I don't know these people personally, it's hard to tell how they're reacting or what they think and not everyone is as honest as me. Also some people can take advantage of those who are outspoken.
Regarding tagging, that is allowed and loads of people are doing it. It's only the opinions of some people that tagging is a problem and there is misinformation about it. I don't think that's what's caused revoking, unless it's mass tagging all the time and abusing tagging, but I've only ever tagged a small handful of people I interacted with and had a disclaimer saying if they don't want to be tagged to let me know. But there have been stories going around that tagging is what caused writers to be revoked, but I don't think it's that simple. There were likely other reasons. If tagging alone was the reason, there would be a large amount of writers revoked. So tagging is allowed, and people should just use it wisely and with common sense. I've always been aware of who I tagged and even if they didn't ask me to remove them, I usually would if I felt the may not like it, or didn't engage. If someone tags me and I don't want it, I wouldn't hesitate to ask them to remove me from tagging.
