Thanks Susie, there are so many reasons for blocking and on a platform this size, everyone isn't going to agree. There are also many non members who don't interact and it lowers read ratio. There are differences in perception and how we experience things, online more so, and it's differences that make us unique and human. Understanding our own humanity and others, makes us think more outside the box, rather than being dogmatic. I was blocked when I first joined Medium for No apparent reason and didn't like it. I reacted also, and the person who did it pretended they hadn't. I was more upset over the lies and gaslighting, than the blocking, as I realised blocking is a function that anyone can use. After that I got used to it. I didn't write a story about being blocking but I wrote one about something else. As online writers I believe we have to accept that things like that can happen, and people blocking us. It's part of the world we write in. Writing about our experiences and feelings is something many writers do I notice, and that makes us more human as writers. We need to understand our shared humanity. The person we complain about today, could be who we are tomorrow. We have to take these things in our stride, with a bit of good humour.🙂 Thanks for reading. I appreciate your honest feedback. Writing is full of surprises!!
