That's quite true. If it hadn't been for floater in my right eve and phoning optician to get advice I wouldn't have known but it was wrong it happened and didn't I didn't know. If something had happened and I was in hospital and had no medical card it would've been terrible, as healthcare here isn't like NHS in UK, which is free to everyone. It is means tested here, and lots of people who earn over threshold don't have it. I have been able to keep mine and should be able to even if I work for 3 years but I don't like healthcare system here, and how it's means tested. It was bad my card was withdrawn for something that wasn't my mistake or fault and I ne er even knew. It wasn't easy either getting it reinstated and they were refusing to do it at first, as there was a gap of a few months before I discovered it, but did reinstate it quickly once I explained to senior person. I read they do this to others, some old people etc, which is awful.

Anyway I still have the floater in my right eye and is annoying sometimes but ar least it wasn't what I thought it might be (a detached retina). That's why I phoned optician as that can be very series. After eyecan optician confirmed it wasn't torn or detached retina.
