That's the problem, it's far too big with over 1 million members. Just think of it like a massive organisation, bigger than the government. Are they going to care about struggling writers not earning? Large giant organisations don't give a damn, and I've found this with certain areas in life where they literally CAN'T distinguish the nuances of situations, lump everyone into 'one size fits all' groups, and have amazing arrogance if you dare dispute them.

There is a lot of similarity between how Medium is acting and how such organisations act, even though Medium isn't considered a giant organisation and indeed is considered 'small to medium'. So that shows that it's the 1 million paying members who they care about, the money, and not the writers wasting time and energy. Yes, we don't want to write purely for money but that's also a part of being in the MPP and when genuine writers aren't rewarded and are considerd spam, it's a soul destroying experience. It means no matter how good you write, how great what you say is, who it helps, etc, doesn't count, nothing does - as the algorithm is who is in power and controlling in the most destructive way.
