There are lots of AI detectors, used by editors and everyone who wants to check presence of AI. Some are paid plans but you can get a certain amount free (copyleaks and others). ZeroGPT is free to use for detecting AI. But it is so frustrating because virtually anything published already can turn up as AI, including your own published work. So, as example, if I go to change a story published months ago and viral, unless I use very different words to what I originally used, it will be detected as AI. Even if there is no AI detected, copyleaks will still highlight "matched" parts (red being deemed as plagarised), even if it is your own story you are changing and if there are many quotes, which I have included in my story, these get highlighted as matched or plagiarised, even if quotes are attributed to whoever said them. Medium is not academia, so I wonder if it is why attributed quotes still show up as highlighted. The important thing with quotes is to give credit to whoever originally said it, which I did on my stories and through links. Incidentally just after I left my last comment and went to go back into medium, I too was presented with a "are you human" message from cloudflare. Maybe it's a new thing. It deemed me as "human" anyway and let me in. 😂
