Very frightening situation to be in. Often victims are trapped physically and mentally, and not believed if there is no evidence. Social media helps highlight DV but victims may be afraid to use it, if it puts them in danger. I recall the case of young woman, Gabby Petito travelling around USA with her boyfriend who them killed her. There was already violence in the relationship and their fighting had been reported with police intervening. She was a very successful YouTube blogger and made videos but no-one knew what was really going on behind the scenes and she likely would've been afraid to tell what was happening on YouTube or social media. Horrific case. I see her story has been made into a movie. That should raise awareness. Many women in her situation are very isolated and afraid.
