What a lovely inspiring story. Where I live (in Ireland) there is an area called 'Salthill'. I am not sure of the history of it but maybe something similar. There are definitely no flamingo's however! Mostly seagulls, that I wrote a poem about them a while ago. I would love to visit Cyprus and Larnaca, and watch the Flamingo's.
