Yes, I think if one gets in with the right people on Medium it can be very supportive. However, I've found the facebook groups very challenging and difficult to get genuine engagement. It seems a constant battle trying to get authentic engagement. I just read a story someone wrote about me (but didn't mention my name) because I blocked him on facebook, as I felt pressured to engaged. It's sad as he alleged it was because of the story he wrote, which was about religion. It didn't have anything to do with it, and I never read the story, I just didn't like the forced element of engagement and didn't want to interact. He alleged it was about the story he wrote and it's worrying people think they can force people to engage or allege things about them if they don't. I reported it to Medium.
