Yes, it was a different situation I read about in the news, but recognised the man immediately, as there was a photo. He racially insulted a women who reported him. He was a really dodgy character, and I made a mistake even moving into a house full of men in the first place. I was trying to quickly find somewhere, as my lease was up on the previous place, otherwise I would've stayed there. The landlord just wanted my deposit, which was quite a lot, but when I left (and he wanted me to go back), he returned the deposit. As I left without giving notice that was probably why. Then the other guy found out I got my deposit back, and he started bullying over that. Wasn't a nice place either. Was only suitable for men.
Yes, my environment now is as peaceful as I've ever had. Sometimes, I think it's too peaceful, and maybe why I don't go out much! :) But there can never be enough peace for me where I live, as I value it highly. I've never been the type to stick nasty situations long. I would absolutely hate to live next door to someone like your friend's stalker. It would be really scary. I can't understand her putting with it for 15 years. The first time someone would do that to me, the police would be at their door.
