Yes jealousy and resentment is something I've encountered personally. I moved last year to a new home and quickly found out who my true friends were - none! The 1 or 2 I has resented I was offered a place, having been waiting so long for housing. One actually told me she was jealous and I thought it was a joke but wasn't. Another begrudge me. Shocking. You would think they would be happy for me. Certainly avoid them completely. Not the kind of people I want or need in my life.
