Yes, rents are crazy, especially in cities. It is a huge problem and housing crisis everywhere. I am glad I no longer rent in the private rental sector, and rent from a housing association. There is a staggering amount of homelessness. In Ireland, during covid, there were anti-eviction laws, whereby landlords couldn't evict tenants but once those laws were removed after covid, homelessness spiral out of control, as that protection was gone.
