Yes, reporting something that was either an honest mistake or glitch would be devastating. I honestly do not believe any editor, who freely gives of their time, would ever stoop to such a level as deliberately doing something like that.

It's hard enough getting time to edit, let alone do that, and it's not something that I ever would do. I've always honestly edited stories, being very careful never to alter the writer's words or meaning in any way, unless it's a glaring typo that grammarly picks up. So doing something like that would be inconceivable.

It's either a very unfortunate innocent mistake, or it's glitch. I find it strange that on both stories (yours and Justiss's), the separators at the bottom only show on desktop but not the medium app (which could point to a glitch of some sort), yet all the other stories with separators at bottom above the pubilcation link, show on both the app and desktop, which is strange.
